Noah’s Ark Children’s Ministry offers ministry to children ages 0-12 years through classes that are exciting and challenging, with each lesson taught in an age-appropriate manner through singing, games, Bible stories, puppet shows, and take-home devotions. The children learn the importance of salvation, tithing, baptism, being filled with the spirit, reading the Bible, prayer, and learning the Word of God.
The love and care of children is very important to the Lord. This was demonstrated when Jesus called the little children to Him (Mark 10:13-16). “Let the little children come unto me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Noah’s Ark Children’s Ministry reaches children and their families for Jesus.
OUR VISION
We teach the children from an early age a love of the Lord and of His Word. As they build faith in the Lord, we trust each child will have an understanding of the unconditional love of Father God, who sent His Son that we might have everlasting life. The Children's Ministry is a place that offers love, security, and a sense of self-worth to each child. We partner with parents to actively involve them in ministry to their children.
As we provide sound biblical teaching through challenging and exciting lessons, we endeavor to build a sense of respect for self, others, and the House of the Lord. Our intention is to strengthen and equip the whole family in His ways. We desire to follow what Jesus instructs us to do in John 21:15-16, “Feed my lambs,” and “Take care of my sheep.” As they grow into men and women of God, our objective is to prepare them to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19, “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, of the Son, and of Holy Spirit.”
THEME:
Our theme for the 2009/10 School year is, “Planting Seeds of Righteousness in Children”
It is based on Psalms 1:3. “They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.” As the body of Christ, working together, no one is greater than the next, as we all have a valuable part. God can use each of us in a special way to plant seeds, water seeds, and bring in the harvest. Some of us may work directly with children or behind the scenes, but each part is important as we work towards reaching children, families, and our community for Jesus. Our goal is to raise up a generation that lives for. And as we lead children to follow Jesus, we desire to see them grow in their walks with the Lord: in their prayer times, faith, level of obedience, the way they talk, their actions, and participation in worship. (Proverbs 4:10-27; Isaiah 55:10-11)
